One Sunday in March 2024, after a great church sermon and family outing to the usual buffet, a wife and mother of 5 got the idea to begin self printing and publishing christian books after hearing the book ideas of her family members around her. This was the humble beginning of Tav Press, a family owned and run indie printing press that seeks to glorify God through every page, bind, print, and press.

Within the center of our company’s logo is the modern Hebrew form of the letter "Tav". The "Tav" is the 22nd and last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The original meaning of the symbol goes all the way back to its proto-Canaanite roots, which is “the sign” or “the covenant”. Many believe that when the Lord told Moses and the Israelites to mark the door posts of their homes in blood, that the “Tav”, the symbol of the covenant between God and His people, was used. This symbol in its proto-Canaanite form, looked much more like the first letter of our company, a cross. Even as far back as before the first biblical books were written by Moses, God was trademarking his people by the future work of His Son. Later, the ancient form of the letter was changed during the neo-Babylonian exile period of the Hebrews to the new form of the letter, the second letter of our logo, which neatly replaces the letter “A” for us. At Tav Press we strive to portray both the old and new form of this Hebrew letter and its connection throughout the ages through all of the books of the Bible to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his work on the "Tav", aka the cross. We believe that God has a covenant with the people He’s saved, old and new and we have a covenant with God to produce excellent, professional tier books, gifts and merchandise for His Great Name in these last days. The cross is our symbol and the "Tav" is our covenant. With Jesus’ victorious work at the center of it all, this is Tav Press.

Our tagline "Pressing Truth" is not just a catch phrase. We do not take the Great Commission lightly. Our mission is to create, print, and publish quality works with a Christ centered message, from books to merchandise, until He makes His great return.
